We welcomed Helen Beynon to our Community Council meeting last month (10th September 2024) as a new councillor. Helen was co-opted to fill the vacancy left when Nicola Rees stood down after many years of service. Councillors had voted in support of Helen’s nomination at the previous (July) meeting.

Helen is a long-standing resident, married to local farmer Geoff and she is a familiar figure as she enjoys walks around the area with her dog Archie. She says, “I feel as a councillor it is important to try and retain our village heritage and also support and preserve our farming heritage for future generations to come.”
Welcoming her to the Council at our last meeting, Chair Ian Button said: “We are really pleased that Helen is joining us and I would like to thank her for putting herself forward to serve the community as a councillor.” You can read a little more about Helen here.
