Rhossili Magazine 2025: Call for Content
It’s that time of year again and we’re inviting pieces for inclusion in the ever-popular annual community magazine.
Guidelines for Submitting Articles
We warmly invite contributions from residents, local groups, and businesses for the Rhossili Community Magazine 2025. This annual publication celebrates our village life, showcases community achievements, and shares local stories – all made possible by your input and enthusiasm. Please let us know by Friday October 31st if you intend to submit something. You do not need to submit it by this date – we just need to know it’s coming!

Please follow these guidelines to help us prepare the magazine smoothly and maintain a consistent standard.
Christmas Greetings
Pass on best wishes to friends and neighbours (45 words max.). Please email your entries to rhossilicc@gmail.com and put ‘Seasonal Greetings’ in the subject header to help us identify and process the email. Send by Monday November 10th please.
All other contributions
All articles, photographs, and captions must be received by Wednesday, November 12th 2025.
What to Submit
We welcome a wide range of contributions, such as:
– Updates from local organisations, clubs, or volunteer groups
– Reports on recent events or community projects
– Personal reflections or stories about life in Rhossili
– Articles on nature, heritage, or local history
– Notices of upcoming events or initiatives
– Local business updates (please contact us separately for advertising details)
Please ensure your article is relevant to Rhossili or the wider Gower area and written in a friendly, engaging style. Avoid technical jargon or overly formal language. All material should be original, unless permission has been granted to reproduce it, in which case the source must be acknowledged.
Format and Length
- Submit the article only as a Word document (.docx) please (not as a .pdf)
- Ideal length: 400-800 words (shorter items are also welcome)
- Include:
• A title
• Your name or organisation (as you’d like it printed)
• An optional introduction or subheading
- Please proofread for spelling and grammar before sending
Photographs
Photographs help bring the magazine to life – we’d love to include yours! Whilst we can accommodate portrait and landscape images, portrait is preferable because of magazine layout constraints. When sending images:
- Send them separately from text files – please don’t paste them into the text of your article!
- Use high-quality photos (at least 1MB, JPEG or PNG format)
- Label files clearly (e.g. Rhossili_Fete_2025_Jane_Doe.jpg)
- Provide captions and photographer credits, if known
- Ensure you have permission from anyone shown in the photo before submission
How to Submit
Please email your article and any accompanying photos to: rhossilicc@gmail.com
Include in your message:
- Your name and contact details
- The article title
- Any captions or notes for photos
Editorial Policy
- The editorial team may edit submissions for length, clarity, or style while maintaining the author’s intended meaning.
- Not all submissions can be guaranteed publication, but we’ll do our best to include as many as possible.
- By submitting, you agree that your content may appear in both the printed and digital versions of the magazine.
